I’ve worked in housing income teams in local authorities and supporting housing for charities and housing associations. I’m also a registered social worker and practice educator and therefore have a lot of experience working with vulnerable groups of people to sustain accommodation, especially when they have been unable to do this elsewhere. I also help to train and educate social work students, so that they can gain relevant experience working with housing and homeless issues, whilst also ensuring this is done in a way to achieve the best possible outcomes for our tenants both whilst people are on placement with us and in their future practice.

I do a mean David Bowie impression!

I joined the housing sector in April 2024 having previously been involved in admin/retail/property maintenance working in the management office of a shopping centre for 16 years, before being made redundant.

I felt like I needed to take a slightly different direction & wanted to do something where I was helping, giving something back, and this job is perfect for me. My greatest achievement is completing the London Marathon in 2023, though since then my running has taken a bit of a nosedive and I have forced myself back to the gym to find some motivation again!

Outside of work as my children have got older I’ve been able to do more of the things I enjoy such as the theatre, concerts and weekends away.
